Dr. Edith Buie
ABOUT DR. EDITH BUIE
Dr. Edith Buie completed her Honours Bachelor degree in Life Sciences at the University of Toronto. She continued on to the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry and made the Dean's Honours List. During her training, Dr. Buie had the opportunity to participate in several eye care missions in Mexico. Dr Buie has also been involved in the clinical training and mentorship of optometry students.
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Buie developed an early interest in Optometry.
Her very first job was working as an optometric assistant/receptionist and that in turn further piqued her interest in the field and she has never looked back. Dr. Buie prides herself on giving her patients thorough and attentive care, and truly enjoys educating her patients about their eyes. Her interests in the field include the treatment and management of dry eye disease and pediatric optometry. She loves working with children and is an advocate for the importance of early eye examinations. Outside the office, Dr. Buie enjoys photography, travelling and baking. Presently, Dr Buie is busy with her two young children but hopes to resume her charitable eye care missions in the future.
