EYE DROPS FOR DRY EYE
Lubricating eye drops are especially helpful when symptoms such as stinging, burning and/or redness arise. Thicker gel drops or eye ointments can be applied before sleeping.

SUPPLEMENTS FOR DRY EYE
Omega 3 fatty acids help to reduce inflammation and improve dry eye symptoms. Our bodies do not produce enough omega-3 fatty acids naturally, so they must be acquired through diet or supplementation.

Omega 3 supplements available for purchase in our office include PRN Omega Essentials High Potency Liquid with Vitamin D3. PRN is only available in doctor’s offices. We also carry the NutraSea Professional softgels.
PRODUCTS FOR LID INFLAMMATION
Lid inflammation is frequently caused by bacteria or mites (demodex) harbored along the eyelids. Lid scrubs help to remove crusting and debris created by eyelid bacteria and mites.

HOT COMPRESSES FOR DRY EYE
Hot compresses are more effective than hot towels due to their ability to sustain heat for an extended period of time. Using hot compresses allows the meibomian glands to liquefy blocked oil secretions which then enhances the tear film surface.
